SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

SHIPPING MODALITIES
Design-digest ships all over the world with DHL EXPRESS. In compliance with current international commerce laws, the shipped products are accompanied by an official invoice declaring the total value, in the same currency as the original purchase. Furthermore, the invoice will indicate the value of each single purchased item.

Available products
Orders involving available products are sent in the first working days following the reception of the order, once the availability of the items has been checked and the banking transaction verified.
Transactions performed via credit card will be charged at the time in which the order is processed.
In the case of orders issued via bank transfer, the shipment is assigned to the courier once payment has been confirmed and deposited on Design-digest’s bank account.
We inform customers that during promotions and sales, delays may occur in deliveries.

DELIVERY TIMES
Design-digest ships all over the world with DHL EXPRESS. Design-digest cannot be considered responsible for shipping delays caused by weather conditions, customs checks or other situations out of Design-digest’s control.
Shipping operations and deliveries are performed on working days. The day of delivery is strictly related to the destination and ordered items.

SHIPPING COSTS
Hereunder, please find the shipping costs for each geographic area.
Please note that, in the case in which – for any given reason – a package is not collected by the customer, the shipping costs and eventual customs fees for items returned AUTOMATICALLY by DHL to the sender Design-digest will be detracted/withheld from the due reimbursement.
We inform customers that our prices include VAT and that eventual customs fees and import taxes must be paid by the customer. The sum in question must be paid to the courier, who will indicate the modalities for this payment.

SHIPPING TRACEABILITY
Once the order is assigned to the courier, customers receive a notification e-mail from DHL, providing the order’s waybill number (AWB).
To monitor the status of the shipment, customers can visit the website http://www.dhl.com/en.html and insert the AWB number, indicated in the aforementioned e-mail, in the “Track your shipment” area.

PACKAGE DELIVERY
At the time of receiving the delivery of the items, customers are asked to carefully inspect the package before signing the slip confirming the successful reception of the package.
If the customer should receive a box that has been opened by Customs or by the Courier for authorized external checks, the package must have been closed by the authority responsible for opening it, with an official guarantee or control seal.
If the package appears to have been tampered with or the original adhesive tape is not intact, customers are asked to sign the package receipt with reservations or to refuse its delivery. In the case in which the package presents proof of its tampering, the customer is kindly asked to initiate a complaint file with the local DHL office and to promptly contact Design-digest at the e-mail address info@design-digest.it.
In the case in which a package has been tampered with, if the customer does not sign the receipt with reservations, the delivery is automatically considered as accepted and, as a consequence, no eventual complaints will be accepted.

FAILED DELIVERY
All customers, when carrying out an order, are initiating a commercial relationship with Design-digest and commit to accept the delivery of the package they have ordered.
If a package is not delivered to the customer’s address as a result of causes deriving from a lack of cooperation on his/her part (incorrect/incomplete telephone number provided, incorrect/incomplete physical address provided, absence of the receiver) or if the customer refuses the delivery, the package will be returned to the sender Design-digest, in Italy, at the expense of the customer. The extra charges to the customer will include shipping costs and eventual customs fees; these costs will be detracted from the due reimbursement.

RETURN AND SUBSTITUTION OF PRODUCTS
The customer can return the order, entirely or partially, for any given reason. Items can be returned, to be replaced or to request a reimbursement, within 14 days from the reception of the package. The items must be returned in the same conditions they were originally sent in, and adequately packaged.

If customers want to return the products, they should send an e-mail to info@design-digest.it, including the order number, the code(s) of the item(s) to be returned, and the motivation for the return.

After forwarding the aforementioned request to the Customer Service, the customer will receive an e-mail featuring the authorization number for the return and further instructions to complete the operation. Customers are required to write, on the invoice to be included in the package, the reasons for the return. Customers are asked to comply with the instructions provided.

Customers can opt between the following forms of compensation:

Reimbursement
In the case in which the customer requests reimbursement for the returned item(s), the reimbursement is carried out on the day in which the returned package has been received, and only after quality checks on the returned item(s). For orders paid via credit card, the reimbursed sum will be visible on your next card statement. The time frame for elaboration can vary according to the company that issued the credit card, amounting to a total of circa 20 working days.
Reimbursements of orders paid with bank transfer are paid back onto the original banking account within 48 hours from the reception of the package.

Reimbursements are issued in the same currency as the original purchase. Eventual differences in the reimbursed sum are due to currency exchange rate variations and will not be reimbursed.

RETURN TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Customers are kindly asked to follow Design-digest’s return policies, indicated hereunder:
Items can be returned only for the following reasons: reimbursement.
Items must be returned in the same conditions in which they were originally sent, and adequately packaged.
Returned items must not have been worn or altered in any way.
Items must be returned with all their original labels, casings and other accessories received in the package. Accessories must be returned in their original packages, which must not be damaged nor altered nor used as packaging for the shipping.
In the case of faulty products due to a mistake by Design-digest, customers are kindly asked to follow the instructions provided above. We kindly ask our customers to provide photographic proof of the defect or mistake. In these cases, the shipping costs and eventual customs fees are charged to Design-digest.
Returned items must be sent in the package originally used by Design-digest, which must also include a copy of the invoice.

Shipping costs for returning purchased items are charged to Design-digest.
Eventual customs fees are always charged to the customer.
Hereunder, please find the forecast shipping costs for returns, divided by geographic areas:

Returns that have been authorized by Design-digest must be sent from the same nation to which the order was originally delivered.
Authorized returns must be sent with the courier indicated by Design-digest in the e-mail featuring return instructions. Design-digest reserves the right to refuse returns in the case in which the customer assigns the shipping to a different courier than the indicated one, and in cases in which the delivery implies extra costs for Design-digest or requires collection from one of the courier’s quarters.
Design-digest reserves the right to refuse returns that have not been authorized or have not been sent in compliance with our return policies. In such cases, Design-digest may in turn re-send the package to the original delivery address. In the case in which it accepts an unauthorized or non-compliant return, Design-digest is allowed to withhold 20% of the value of the returned item(s) from the due reimbursement.
